We can offer you a number of varied training courses.

ACTIVstudio 3 Professional User
This session is a “get to know you board” during which these functions and more will be covered.

Animation Workshop
Come along and learn how to create simple animations in our workshops. Teachers will be using stop frame animation software and then edit the footage in iMovie.

Blogs and Blogging
How to communicate with pupils, staff and the outside world. Showcase your good work by writing all that you do on your weblog, post homework and lesson plans and notify users of forthcoming events.

Creating Simple Websites
Teachers will be able to use iWeb to create simple websites and you may wish to bring along your own media content for this purpose.

DiDA - Dreamweaver
Introduction to Dreamweaver software to enable students to meet the criteria of DiDA modules.

DiDA - Fireworks
An introduction to ‘Macromedia Fireworks’, learn the basic functions of the package to create graphics for web and print and allowing you to meet the criteria for the DiDA modules.

DiDA - Flash
This session introduces students to the flash interface, getting to grips with keyframes, frames, layers and the timeline.

Digital Music in the Classroom
Teachers will use Garageband and iTunes, enabling them to create, record and perform their own music with drag and drop simplicity.

Digital Photos in the Curriculum
Teachers and pupils will learn to import, organise, edit and share digital photos. Make a slideshow as good as a movie with iPhoto and there are also lots of new book templates to use.

Digital storytelling in the Classroom

Digital Video in the Classroom
Teachers will learn to create Hollywood-style movies using cinematic titles, new audio tools, video effects and then share them in a video podcast.

Internet Technologies
Too often, teachers and students accept authentic-looking information on the Internet as the truth. Anyone can publish on the Internet and learning how to validate web-based information is now an important skill.

This course is designed as an introduction to the basic functions and features of Managed Learning Environments. The trainers will draw on experience gained from a Local Authority perspective and from the commercial sector.
